Life is not like Cinderella and a consumer is not going to go through toil and trouble to track you down.  You have to make the effort to ask for their contact information that they are comfortable sharing with you.

Never try to be the cool guy and wait a week or two to reach out.  Be comfortable and confident.  Reach out with a quick note of thanks or to share photos or video from your shared experience.

We've all heard this before.  You can't see them all the time so it is important you try to stay top of mind.  Let them know what you're up to and give them a chance to do the same.

Maintaining communication is key, but it can't be talking for the sake of talking.  With the rise of social media, everyone is sharing everything with everybody.  You need to stand out by consistently delivering content that engages, entertains and educates.

This is more of a reminder than an action.  In so many relationships, after time, we may take for granted that the other person is always going to be there no matter what.  Just remember that if you're ignoring your most valuable consumers, there are other brands lining up to steal their heart.
