Keep Them Interested
Maintaining communication is key, but it can't be talking for the sake of talking. With the rise of social media, everyone is sharing everything with everybody. You need to stand out by consistently delivering content that engages, entertains and educates.
Identify Your True Love/Friends
Here's a shocker.. Not everyone is going to like you. It's a shame, we know. However, focus your efforts on those who are engaged with your brand and commit resources to fostering those relationships. These are the folks that can become the greatest advocates for your brand.
Reward Their Commitment
Once you know who is showing you the love, show it back. Provide them with unique gifts, special events, VIP treatment, or any other form of appreciation that works within whatever restrictions you may have.
Never Take Them For Granted
This is more of a reminder than an action. In so many relationships, after time, we may take for granted that the other person is always going to be there no matter what. Just remember that if you're ignoring your most valuable consumers, there are other brands lining up to steal their heart.
